Toei has announced that the recently revealed Toei Japan Channel, which aims to bring streaming footage of their Japanese station over to the states, amonst other content, will be requiring users to pay $20 a month for the use of the service.

If things go over well, we'll likely be seeing English subtitles, official subtitles, for some of our favorite shows.

Personally, I'd love to support this but I cannot afford another $20 a month on top of my other expenses, especially not to watch programming I have no way of understanding. Definitely want to see this succeed though, even moreso if it means we can get officially subbed releases on dvd/bluray.
