Minus Tsubasa, everyone had really generic looking weapons in their base form then their weapons would transform into something much more fantastical when summoning their armour. But both totally not gay and totally not Ishida look like they have their armour weapons the whole time.

Aguri's bow is close in both forms, but trust me, you'll see how different Takeru's sword looks when he transforms.
