Yeah, Garo is the one toku you don't watch to be sold toys. Garo almost feels untainted compared to other tokus in that regard.

Ah...no. TOWSITD is in the far future. The Garo has been sitting in disuse for 2 or 3 generations. They left it open so they could add as many stories as they want in between. If I had to guess, and assuming Makai Senki happened in the recent past, I would estimated TOWSITD happening around 2100-2150. There is nothing supporting TOWSITD being an AU.

EDIT: Garo anime's MC is a makai knight, and his name has 3 words (hinted in Amemiya's blog).
- I guess he will not be from the Saejima family (the whatever-ga name).
- Since Yamamoto Shouma also works as a voice actor now, his character "山刀翼" ("Yamagatana Tsubasa" may have a better chance of being the hero in the anime.

Even more fun to look forward to! I hope the anime has a better lead than Tsubasa. I mean, an anime would have the best chance of a US release (even if it's just streaming with subs) and I'd like it to be their best foot forward. That foot is not Tsubasa.
