You consider the likes of "A Christmas Carol", "The Doctor, The Widow & the Wardrobe", "Let's Kill Hitler", "Asylum of the Daleks" and "The Bells of Saint John" golden?

Moffat has written some good episodes but he certainly doesn't have a flawless track record.

I have to agree with ComicGuy89 that Clara doesn't come across as being "in love" with the Doctor at all. And I would also argue that Rose being in love with the Doctor made her the worst companion, because it led to her presence dominating every Tennant series onward. Martha didn't get a chance, and even Donna's series was constantly foreshadowing her return.
