You mean the show got worse? How could it get worse than it already was? Did they at least put action into the show? Or was it just Things appear, Things play around, kid does something whiny until Hibiki hangs out with him, Hibiki sees Things and chases after them, poorly rendered giant CGI animal appears, Hibiki beats drums, monsters gone, repeat and rehash in the next set of episodes forever and ever.

As for Black, I decided to start Kamen Driver Black RX tonight and watched the first five episodes. Oh boy, where to start?

First, how did Kotaro go from this:



to this:



I mean seriously, his fashion sense went from badass to fairy in an episode.

Secondly, uh... why are there aliens in a Kamen Rider show? Or rather, why are none of the monsters based off of earthly creatures?

I swear that being dead for whatever amount of time must have had an effect on his brain, because Kotaro is an idiot in this series. Not to mention he is just living with some random family without any explanation (at least, I did not catch one) and he is always around the same damn annoying kids.

It seems like this show was going to be a whole different series, but then Toei couldn't afford it so they just made it a Kamen Rider show and put Kotaro in it so they would not have to hire a new actor, but forgot to rewrite the character in the process. Oh, except for resurrecting Battle Hopper, making his sacrifice in the episode before pointless. Which even that seems to have been pointless as well since now Kotaro has made his version of Kitt. And where is Road Sector???

This show is a mess. It took everything that was great about Black and just spat all over it. I really hope it gets better because the next 42 episodes are going to be painful if it doesn't.

On the positive side, I like Bosgun's design.
