Access 24: Admin! The Red Hero's Ambition

“Hehehehehe….It’s finally ready… I can finally enact my plan. Prepare yourselves, ModRangers…”

It had been a week after the defeat of OnoreGreen. The ModRangers were wondering why they heard nothing of OnoRed; they were sure he would have attacked after what had happened. The group decided to take a break during this time; Nathan and Allie went to visit his parents in Pennsylvania, Matt was working with Jordan in his shop, Kyle suddenly vanished with LukaRoid but reappeared days later, and Reggie and Ai were just in his apartment the whole time, watching movies as they cuddled under a warm blanket. “It’s been so quiet without the guys around…” Ai said, looking sad. “Hey, I’m sure we’ll all gather again baby, it’s not like they aren’t coming back.” At that moment, Reggie felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. “See? Nathan just texted me! They wanna meet up tomorrow!” “Really?! Yay!...I mean...baby, don’t take this the wrong way, but-” “Spending an entire week not doing anything with anyone else but ourselves and not leaving the apartment has been boring?” “Exactly!” “Ah, I love you Ai.” “I love you too Reggie. But seriously, why didn’t we leave your place and go out?” “No real idea. Seems like a lazy thing to do on my part. Oh well, we should rest. Nathan said meet at Jordan’s store bright and early.” “Okay! But...um…” “What?” “Can we ‘sleep’ right now?” “Yeah, I’ll get you your spare clothes and...oh.” “You’re really dense baby,” Ai said, kissing Reggie and shutting off the light.

The next day, the others had already gathered before Reggie and Ai made it there. “Yo Reg! Long time no see!” “Nathan, bro, what’s up?! Hey Allie, what are you doing here?” “I hired her.” “Tony?!” Sitting amongst many collectible figures, was the head of the CPU Long Beach Branch, Tony, sipping on some royal milk tea. “She’s going to be aiding in training our staff in combat, just in case all of you have been deployed and are too far from the base when we come under an enemy attack.” “You’re going to work with us?! Yay Allie-chan!” Ai said, grabbing Allie’s hands and jumping up and down. “Yup, so, do I get one of those Pass thingies too?” “A standard UserPass, yes. It allows you to access every room in CPU. Now, shall we all head down?” “Yes sir!”

Going down the familiar elevator, the group was greeted by the rest of CPU’s staff; the medics, the programmers, the mechanics, the cooks, the janitors and Will and James, who appeared to be exhausted to the point of collapsing. “Whoa?! What happened to you two?!” “We had to fill paperwork up for Tony this past week.” “He would’ve gotten Ai to do it, but then he said he prefered that she and Reggie have their alone time after what happened when Reggie was depressed. So, now if you excuse me, I’m going to collapse onto the ground.” “And I’m going to collapse on James.” The two did exactly just that as a CPU janitor walked behind them and mopped them away. “Thank you Gus. So, Jordan, Matt, Kyle, Nathan, and Reggie, let’s head to the training room. Ai, do you mind showing Allie around?” “Of course Tony!” Ai said, grabbing Allie’s hand as she ran, taking the red-headed woman with her.

As soon as they reached the training room, Tony held out a case. “So Nathan, it’s time for you to be active again.” Opening it up, Tony handed Nathan his repaired ModBelt and ModPass, which looked brand new. “Whoa! Tony, how did you-” “Remember that friend Ai was visiting? She also happened to be a mechanic, so the two of them repaired the ModBelt while they were there. Now, remember, don’t do anything reckless, okay?” “Got it!” “Okay, now our main topic- your USBs. We already know now that they all have a certain trigger; Reggie’s was anger, Nathan’s was friendship, Kyle’s was passion, while Matt’s was his bravery. So that leaves Jordan’s USB. Now, Jordan, we’re going to train.” “Alright, I’ve been waiting for this!” “Good. Now, transform!” “Mod Access, Log In!”

*RED, ACCESS GRANTED. DOWNLOADING…*

Surrounding Jordan in a vibrant red light, his black body suit was the first to come on. Suddenly a demon holding a peach circled around him, before the peach and itself turned mechanical and split up into pieces of armor. Circling around him, the armor pieces clashed onto Jordan’s suit as the demon’s horns hit his forehead, creating the rest of his helmet. Holding out one hand, his ModCalibur appeared in its Slashing Mode. Taking a fighting stance, Jordan watched on as Tony transformed as well, armed with his MasterCalibur. “Let’s go.” Lunging forward, Jordan was the first to strike, his sword clashing with Tony’s. “You didn’t let me finish Jordan, you’re not just training against me.” “Huh?” “Matt!” “Super USB, Install!” *PROGRAM: SUPER. INSTALLING.* From behind him, Jordan saw Matt’s green aura mech appear behind him. “You’re training against everyone. Now Matt!” “Sorry about this, Jordan!” Matt swung his arm, causing the mecha to do the same by attacking Jordan. “Whoa! Watch it!” “Kyle!” “Mega USB, Install!” *PROGRAM: MEGA. INSTALLING.* LukaRoid flew towards Jordan and pinned him down as Kyle ran up to her, his armor finishing as she transformed into the Mega LukaCannon. Holding the barrel against Jordan, Kyle was about to pull the trigger when Jordan shifted his ModCalibur into Shooting Mode. Firing at Kyle, it knocked him back as Jordan ran, avoiding Matt’s mech as it continued its onslaught. “Nathan.” “Epic USB, Install!” *PROGRAM: EPIC. INSTALLING.* Turning into Epic ModBlue’s Headder Mode, Nathan flew at Jordan and caught him in his jaws. Reggie saw the opportunity and stood up, only to be blocked by Tony. “Sorry Reggie. We don’t want this experience to end up with everyone hurt. Stay out of the fight. I’ll go in your stead.” “Oh...Okay Tony.”

“Let go!” Jordan switched the ModCalibur back into its Slashing Mode and swiped down at Nathan, causing him to drop Jordan. Jordan then switched the ModCalibur back into its Shooting Mode and opened fire at Matt. Matt brought his arms up as the green aura mecha blocked the shots, but then lunged forward, completing his transformation. Summoning drills, he punched forward, making them all fly towards Jordan. One by one, Jordan deflected them and leapt up, slashing Matt and knocking him out of the air. Just as he was about to attack again, Jordan was slashed in the back by Tony. The impact of the slash knocked Jordan out of his transformation and sent him flying into the training mats. “Ow!” “Jordan...Are you really up for this?” Tony asked, holding his hand out. “Huh?” Jordan took Tony’s hand and got up on his feet. “What do you mean, Tony? Of course I a-” “I honestly expected you to be the first one to activate his USB. But look what happened. Jordan, you may see your team as brothers-in-arms, but right now, what they need is not a brother, but a leader.” Tony cancelled his own transformation and walked away. “Jordan, I need you to step up. After Ryan and Max left CPU, I wanted to appoint you as one of their replacements.” “Re-Really, sir?” “But the promise you showed back then is fading. Please, prove that you can be the leader, Jordan.” As he took his leave, the others cancelled their own transformations and walked towards Jordan. “Hey, you don’t really believe him, right?” Nathan said, holding his hand out. Sighing, Jordan walked towards the door, hitting a punching bag on his way out. “Jordan…”

Arriving at his house, Jordan threw his coat onto the couch as Kristin heard him from their room. “Honey, you home?” “Ah...yeah, I’m back.” “You alright? You sound like something’s troubling you.” “I...It’s CPU related.” As soon as she heard that, Kristin ran down the stairs and leapt in front of Jordan. “What is it now?! Don’t tell me they’re assigning you to some foreign country! We just moved in, we just got settled i-” “No, it’s not that...Tony just said I’m losing my touches as being the leader of the team…” Jordan sighed and fell back into the couch as he looked up at the ceiling. “You know how the story is, right? Red is the leader. But Tony thinks I’ve been too relaxed and neglecting my duties.” Kristin wrapped her arms around him. “Jordan, you know that it isn’t your fault that you’ve been falling behind the team...wait, I probably worded that incorrectly...you’ve just been...well...they’ve been growing. And that just shows you need to grow too. I mean, don’t give up your collection or anything...I mean try to mature things up. Take a stand, prove to them that you’re the leader. I mean, it’s not your fault that Reggie happens to get the most focus, he’s an actor, he’s... a known attention hog. Or the fact that Nathan and Kyle happened to get their abilities right after that, I mean, Reggie was sort of involved in that...uh…well Matt was just that he stopped being a brat and went up to bat! Okay I did not mean to rhyme there...you know where I’m getting with this, right?” Jordan looked at his wife and kissed her. “Yeah, I do. But now I know what I have to do. Think you can wake up with me early tomorrow so we can go on a run?” “Sure dear,” Kristin said, kissing Jordan.

Back at CPU, the other guys looked at each other in silence before Ai spoke. “You guys, it’s not your fault! Tony was just trying to give Jordan some motivation!” “By telling us that we’re the reason why he hasn’t been able to advance as a leader?” Matt said, looking disappointed. “Tony wasn’t telling the truth, telling Jordan that he was everyone’s big brother, I’m older than he is!” “Nathan, that’s not what he meant,” Kyle said, hugging LukaRoid. “Guys, we all just have to remind Jordan that he is our leader!” Reggie said, getting up from his seat. “Maybe stand back from the spotlight then, Reg.” “Huh?” “What Nathan means is, well...since Ai’s shown up, you’ve been kinda...well, arrogant on the battlefield.” “Huh?” “You tend to take charge in battle, like, a lot.” “You guys can’t be serious.” LukaRoid pointed one of her hands at the screen, bringing up footage of all of the previous fights the full team had been in. “Okay...good point…” “Look, honey is not at fault, really, he isn’t!” Ai said, pouting. “It’s alright baby. Look, guys, let’s just promise, we’ll follow Jordan’s choices the next time we head into battle, alright?” Reggie said, holding his hand out. The others nodded and each placed their hands on his. “Right!” “Yeah!” “He is the Red after all.”

The next day, the others were training when they heard something hit the door. “Huh?” Nathan walked over and opened it, and from it fell- “JORDAN!” “What happened?!” “Uh…” As he was helped off his feet, the others rushed to him with water and a towel. “I...wanted to go for a run with Kristin today...we went 7 miles...no stopping…” “That’s not good Jordan, here!” Ai said, handing him an energy drink. “Thanks...BLEGH! What is this?” “I made it, is it not good?” “It’s...blegh...a bit bitter.” “So, Jordan, you finally show up,” Tony said, looking at him from across the room. “Yeah. And I want to train again, Tony!” “Heh, very well. Matt, Nathan, Kyle, you know what to-” Before Tony could finish, the alarms in CPU went off, startling the group. “Whoa, wha?” “Everybody, to the command center, quickly!”

The guys rushed there, finding Ai at the terminal frantically typing. “Guys, look at the screen!” Turning their attention to the central screen, they saw Jered, walking through the city streets in his human form, slicing through vehicles and strangling civilians. *I hope you’re watching this, Jordan. I’m coming for you next,* Jered said before shooting the camera. “We have to go!” “Jordan.” Tony walked over to him and handed him the blank USB. “Take this. I don’t know how and if you’ll activate it, but take it with you. Team, you are to use your USBs if Jered proves to be too much. Reggie...ONLY if he proves to be too much for everyone else. I know how much of a risk it is, but your powers may be what we need. Head out!” “Yes sir!” As the team left the building, Reggie felt a tug on his sleeve. “Reggie…” It was Ai, looking distraught. “I’ll come back in one piece, I swear!” “I know, just...be careful, okay?” He picked her up in his arms and gave her a kiss. “I will be.” Putting her down, Reggie ran out the doors, leaving Ai looking distressed.

Making their way into the city, the group found Jered among his onslaught, sitting on a civilian who was struggling to get out. “You’re all late. It’s not nice to keep me waiting.” “What makes you think we’ll be nice to you at all?” “Cause I have this,” Jered said, holding up the same weapon that he gave Graham. “Wasn’t that-” “Yes, I lent it to Graham to collect data. And he gave it ba- oh, that’s wrong, I took it back. With interest of course.” “Where is he?” “Ha, showing concern over your counterpart? How cute. Well, Matt, what’s left of him is in here.” “What?!” “You killed your own comrade?” “Yes,” Jered said before smiling, snapping the civilian’s neck. “He was moving around too much. Now, how about we get this party started? Viral Access.” *RED. FIREWALL DOWN…* From his belt, a large red and black cybernetic lion appeared. Charging at the ModRangers, they all leapt out of the way before Jered went underneath it, stabbing his arm where its heart would be. Tearing it into pieces, the pieces formed his armor as he took its head, placing it on his own to form his helmet. “Ah, that’s better. Your turn, Jordan.” “Guys!” “Mod Access, Log In!”

“So Jordan, I heard you can’t access your USB yet.” “What of it Jered?!” “Mind if I use mine?” “WHAT?!” Jered held up the box weapon as it began to twist and mold into a black and red copy of the USBs, only spiked with a red V on it. “Viral USB, Install.” Plugging the device into the side of his belt, Jered was enveloped in a black and red aura. “Guys, move!” Reggie yelled, pushing his teammates out of the way as the aura began to swirl and move. “Gah!” Reggie screamed, feeling as part of the aura hit his leg. “Reg!” Pulling his friend away, Nathan looked in horror to see that Reggie’s leg was missing part of his armor, with a large gash bleeding. “What the?” Looking back at Jered, the team watched on as the aura hit several vehicles, landmarks and buildings, reducing them to nothing as Jered’s form began to change. With his main extending, Jered reached out, creating manifestations of his former teammates as he ripped off one limb from each of them and attached them to his own, fusing them into his armor. “Call me…ViralRed. Now…let’s begin.”

In a flash, Jered was right in front of the group before he punched Nathan in the stomach. “Gah!” The impact of the punch sent Nathan flying into the air, angering Kyle to attack Jered. Jered simply kicked Kyle rapidly but softly before knocking him back as well. “Wha...I can’t move!” “Jordan, help me pick up Reggie, we need to get him out of here!” “No, Matt, you and Jordan run,” Reggie said, standing up. “Reg, your le-” “I’ll fly.” Sprouting his wings, Reggie flew upward and held out his ModSpinner. Aiming at Jered, Reggie fired away before Jered disappeared in a flash of light. “Nice try.” Reggie was shocked to see Jered in front of him, just before he felt the impact of his fist. As Reggie fell to the ground, Matt looked at Jordan. “Jordan, c’mon! There’s gotta be something you can think of to help us win this fight! JORDAN!” “Matt, I know how he’s able to do all of this. The strength, paralyzing Kyle, appearing in front of Reggie instantly...he’s absorbed all of the Onorengers' powers.” “What?!”

Landing on his feet, Jered looked at the two of them as Reggie fell behind him. “It’s true, all my teammates’ data is within this USB. Just try and stop me, Jordan.” “My team will not back down from you!” “Well, let’s just see about that. Come face me again tomorrow, right here. I’ll be waiting,” Jered said, before laughing maniacally as he teleported away. “Reggie, Nathan, Kyle, you three okay?” Matt said, leaving Jordan standing among the rubble. Clenching his fist, Jordan slammed it into the debris with all his might, crushing it.

“Bring them in quickly, hurry!” Ai said, directing the medics to the ER. Matt and Jordan watched as the others were brought in and the lights turned on. “How did this happen?” Ai asked Jordan with tears in her eyes. “Jered...he used his allies powers against us. Jordan noticed it.” “Jordan, you could tell?” Ai looked at Jordan, who appeared to be in a trance. “Jordan!” “WHOA! Ai, sorry, kinda...spaced out for a minute. I know this might sound crazy...but I was seeing numbers for a minute.” “Numbers?” “Yeah...I know, it sounds weird, but I saw nu-” “Jordan, your pocket is glowing!” “Huh?!” Jordan reached in and pulled out his still blank USB, which was glowing red. “Is it activating?!” As the trio watched on, the USB kept glowing. “This is it!” *BZZZ* The USB stopped glowing and returned to its blank state. “Eh? That’s disappointing…” “Jordan, the same thing happened to me last time, it’s okay...Jordan?” “Matt...I saw numbers again. And blueprints, and-” “Okay...maybe we need to have you brought into the psychiatric office, it’s that wa-” “No, Ai, I mean, while the USB was glowing, I could see how things are put together. I don’t know how to explain it...but I think it’s linked to the power of my USB!” Ai looked at Jordan and could see that he knew what he was saying. “Okay, I believe you Jordan. I’m going to check on honey and the others, and when I get back, I’ll take a look at you and your USB. Matt, mind staying with Jordan?” “Of course, Ai.”

As the two men watched her go into the ER, Matt took out his ModPass. “Jordan, try inserting my ModPass into that slot on your USB.” “Why?” “Just try.” Taking the Pass in hand, Jordan did as he requested. The USB began to glow red and green, before a small patch on the USB turned gold. “Whoa!” “I think that you might need our Passes to activate your USB. I mean, I just wanted to see what happens, but it’s apparent that that’s the case.” The USB pushed the Pass back out before declaring *GREEN, RECOGNIZED.* “Thanks Matt.” “No prob, now, I think we should wait for Ai, but before that, I think someone else needs a word with you,” Matt said before leaving quickly.

“Hello, Jordan.” “Tony…” Looking away from his commander, Jordan began to tremble. “I-” “Save it. Now, you’re not going to be revoked as leader, given you defeat Jered tomorrow.” “Ye...Yes sir.” “Jordan, I will be honest with you. I push you to your limits, I give you all these commands, because I truly see you as a leader. Prove it to me, okay?” Tony said, holding his hand out. “Yes sir!” Jordan said, taking his hand before shaking it. “Good. The team will be all good to go tomorrow, head home and rest with Kristin. The team will come by to pick you up in the morning.” “But sir, Ai wanted to observe me.” “Observe you?” “Yes...I can’t explain it, but I was able to see numbers...blueprints...and I didn’t tell Ai and Matt, but I could even see inside them too.” “Sōsagan…” “What?” “Jordan, you may be experiencing something that was developed in CPU. The only other person to have that condition...is me. As soon as Ai is done looking at you, head to my office.”

After an hour in the lab, Jordan made his way to Tony’s office. “Take a seat.” “Yes sir,” Jordan said, looking at Tony, seeing the stern look in his eyes. “So...what is ‘So-sa-gun?’” “The condition is called Sōsagan, otherwise known as ‘Scanning Eyes.’ It’s power allows one to see the inner workings of anything. It is caused by an immense amount of power being transferred into a person. It could be that your USB, although not activate, is transferring its power into you, causing you to have Sōsagan.” “So what can I do with this power?” “It may be key in helping you defeat Jered. I know I told you to rest, but how about we train those eyes. Watch me, right now.” Tony pressed some buttons on his desk as a training droid appeared in the middle of the room. Taking out his sword, Tony stared it down as it took the form of a monster. “Whoa!” “Jordan, stay calm and watch. Sōsagan!” Tony’s eyes began to glow bright red before becoming black with red crosshairs in the middle. The crosshairs enlarged and then shrank, just as the monster began to approach him. Swinging his sword just once, Tony cut through it with relative ease, catching its core in his hand. “See? This skill allows you to pinpoint where anything is in your surroundings. Now, you try.” Pressing the same buttons, another training droid appeared, taking the form of the same monster. “Go!” “Okay!” Jordan closed his eyes and focused before opening them quickly. “Sōsagan!” In an instant, Jordan’s eyes did the same thing that Tony’s did, only inverted. His black crosshairs shrank and at that moment, Jordan saw red binary surrounding the monster. Noticing the pattern changing at its center, Jordan grabbed Tony’s sword and pierced right through. As the core was forced behind it, Tony smiled and nodded before placing a hand on Jordan’s shoulder. “You’re ready. Now, here’s the plan for your battle tomorrow…”

The next day Kyle, Nathan and Reggie were fully healed. “You okay sweetie?” “For the seven hundred and fifty second time, yes Ai. I’m fine. Thanks to the healing pods.” “Okay guys, we’re going to go face Jered now, are you ready?” “Of course Jordan!” “We got your back!” “Let’s do this!” “Yeah! Ai, I’ll be back as soon as possible, okay?”Taking their ModBelts, ModPasses and USBs from the table, the team ran out the door. “ModLiner!” From its portal, ModLiner flew out in front of the team. “We’re going to take your mech, Jordan?” “Yeah, Tony said we should bring it in case we need to make a quick getaway.” “A quick getaway? We’ll kick Jered’s ass!” “Better safe than sorry guys. Let’s go!” “Right!”

“They’re late,” Jered said, sitting on a throne made of crushed cars and people. “I’m growing impatient…” Jered picked up one of the bodies lying around as his aura surrounded him, absorbing it into his body. “And that didn’t even make me full...what’s this?” From the sky, Jered could see the ModLiner heading straight towards him. “Just on time,” Jered said, smiling inside his helmet. Holding up a replica of OnoreViolet’s rifle, Jered shot at the mech before it opened up, revealing the team in their ModRanger forms as they flew down from the sky. “Nathan, now!” “Got it! Epic USB, Install!” *PROGRAM: EPIC. INSTALLING…* Turning into Epic ModBlue’s Headder Form, Nathan flew around and caught Jordan and Kyle, who began opening fire on Jered. Reggie sprouted his wings and grabbed Matt, combining his ModGigaDrill with his ModSpinner before they began to fire as well, causing a large explosion. Landing on their feet, the team held their weapons up anticipating Jered’s next move. “Good thing you’re all on alert. Cause I’m still around!” Jered yelled, throwing his aura at the team. As each of them dodged the blasts, Nathan noticed his USB glowing. “Huh? Well, this is new!” Taking it out, Nathan noticed his armor fly off of him, leaving him in his Epic helmet and a blue body suit. Watching his armor combine together into his Headder form, Nathan rose his hand and punched forward, causing it to go flying at Jered. Chomping down on his arm, the armor flung Jered into a nearby building before flying back to Nathan.

“...I didn’t know I could do that.” *Nathan! It’s Ai! I added that function in when I repaired your belt!* “Thanks Ai! Alright, let’s do it again.” “Hold up Nathan, let me and LukaRoid handle this!” Kyle said, snapping his fingers. Within seconds, LukaRoid came running into the scene as Kyle held up his USB. “Mega USB, Install! X!” “X?” “Don't tell me you really thought I didn’t train while we didn’t see each other! LukaRoid and I have something new up our sleeves!” Plugging his USB into his ModBelt, it announced: *PROGRAM: MEGA. INSTALLING…* LukaRoid looked at Kyle, before turning into a ball of pink, merging onto the ModBlack chest armor. From his back, four large pink jet-like wings sprouted in an X-formation. On his arms, two gatling guns appeared on his gauntlets as his helmet changed into a dynamic shape. On his boots, jet boosters appeared and ignited, sending him flying towards Jered. Holding up his arms, Kyle opened fire, piercing through Jered’s armor before he spun around, kicking Jered in the stomach. “I call this Mega ModBlack, X! My other form is Mega ModBlack Y! Speaking of which...Mega USB, Install! Y!” Taking out his USB and reinserting it, Kyle reverted back into ModBlack and LukaRoid, who then turned into her cannon form as her weapons formed Mega ModBlack’s armor. “Take this!” Aiming the Mega LukaCannon at Jered, the blast knocked him into a building, causing it to collapse onto him. “Haha! Got ya!” “Think again!” Jered’s aura came out of the rubble and began to lash at the team’s surrounding, absorbing and disintegrating everything. “Watch out guys! Super USB, Install!”

*PROGRAM: SUPER. INSTALLING...* Summoning his aura mecha, Matt placed his arms on the ground, causing the mecha to do the same. Although it shielded the team from the aura, the aura mecha itself began to deteriorate. “Damn it, I can’t hold it up much longer!” “Matt, use your drills! I have a plan!” “Okay Jordan, I trust you!” Focusing all of his energy into his palms, Matt slammed them onto the ground, causing several drills to pop up and advance towards Jered. “Keep them moving, but don’t launch them until I say so!... Sōsagan!” Activating his power, Jordan could see through Jered’s aura. “Now! Aim 47 degrees to the left!” Moving his fists, Matt launched the drills and Jered, piercing through the aura and hitting Jered’s left arm. “Impressive Jordan, but thank you for the meal!” Jered held his left arm up, and the aura began to swirl around, taking all of the drills into it. “Damn, Jordan, we really need to fall back! He just keeps absorbing everything we use against him!” “Well, there’s one thing we haven’t tried yet…” The team turned their heads to see Reggie holding up the Hyper USB. “Reg, think about what you’re doing!” “Come on man, there’s gotta be another way!” “It’s the only way! In his Hyper ModViolet form, Reggie let out a violent roar. Turning his attention to Jered, he disappeared in a flash, reappearing right in front of the Onorenger. The two began to fight in the sky, causing it to thunder as they both fired different elemental blasts at one another. “Impressive...I may just have to absorb you next!” “GAO!” Reggie began to glow, and suddenly, Jered found himself surrounded by multiple copies of Hyper ModViolet. One by one, they attacked Jered, only for him to absorb each clone until only Reggie remained. His strength magnified, Jered rose his right arm and smacked Reggie into the ground. Landing on his feet, the Onorenger began to punch him rapidly and violently until he felt some rubble hit his head. “Hey Jered, you want to take a life?...TAKE MINE!” “Jordan!” “Stay back guys!” Jered had no idea what was really on Jordan’s mind- using the Sōsagan, Jordan had noticed something odd going on inside of Reggie; his armor’s binary had numbers other than one and zero. “But before you take it...why don’t you absorb Reggie’s powers?” “Jordan, what are you doing?!” “Are you mad, man?!” “Hehehehe…I like your way of thinking, Jordan! Very well! I’m going to add your ally’s power into my own!” Holding his hand up, Jered summoned his aura, causing it to surround Reggie’s Hyper USB. “I can feel it! The power surging through me! It’s magni- Wha...what’s going on...why?!” Jered’s body began to contort and move on its own before Jered’s visor glowed a bright red. “GAO!!!!” “Thanks Jered, you just helped me get Reggie’s problem out of his system!” “What do you mean Jordan?” “The whole reason Reggie’s been going berserk as Hyper ModViolet is because he had a virus hidden within it. And now it’s in Jered. This isn’t going to be easy guys, cause now it’s time to fight a real monster.” “GAO!!!!” Jered’s form as ViralRed became more feral; his aura began to absorb everything in sight at an alarming rate. Noticing his friend still close to Jered, Nathan launched his armor and had it bring Reggie close to the rest of the team. “Guys, it’s time for me to face him.” “But Jordan, your USB-” “It’s fine. What I’ll need is your ModPasses, Kyle and Nathan. Can you guys also get me Reggie’s?” “...No...Need...Jordan…” Reggie was slowly making his way to his feet, stumbling on his way to Jordan. “Reggie, are you really-” “Yeah, I’m in control now...but this armor feels heavy...Jordan...kick his ass.” Handing their ModPasses to Jordan, the guys nodded to him as he held up his USB. *BLUE, RECOGNIZED.* *BLACK, RECOGNIZED.* *VIOLET, RECOGNIZED.* “And now my own!” *RED, RECOGNIZED. ALL RANGERS!* The USB began to glow bright red and gold, before finally turning into the same color as the other USBs. “It worked!” “It’s cause we trust Jordan as a leader.” “And now it’s time to kick some ass,” Jordan said, making his way to Jered. As Jered growled and snarled at him, Jordan didn’t waver. Raising one fist, he punched the Onorenger in the face, sending him flying. “Admin USB...Install!”

*PROGRAM: ADMIN. INSTALLING…* Jordan’s ModRed armor began to break and combine into a large peach shaped form. From a portal, a mechanical beetle came out and flew behind Jordan. Devouring his ModRed armor, the beetle began to glow as it lowered itself onto Jordan, forming his armor. Ripping the head off the beetle, Jordan placed it onto his head, forming his new helmet. “AdminRed,” Jordan said, snapping his fingers. Looking forward, Jordan noticed Jered’s helmet opening its mouth, creating an energy ball from his aura. Launching it at Jordan, the team watched as Jordan rose a hand, summoning a black, red and gold shield out of nowhere, blocking the attack. “AdminClawShield!” “Hey, that looks like mine!” “That’s not all. AdminPistol!” In his free hand, a black and red version of Kyle’s ModPistol appeared. Opening fire, Jordan began to break apart Jered’s armor on his left leg. “GAO!!!” “AdminSpinSabre!” Summoning gold, red and black versions of Reggie’s weapons, Jordan tossed the other two aside and charged, slicing and shooting away at Jered's left arm. “Almost there...AdminGigaDrill!” Tossing his weapons behind him, the black, gold and red version of Matt’s weapon appeared over his right hand. Pushing upward into Jered’s chest, the drill began to spin quickly, breaking through his core. “GAO!!!” “I just damaged your healing factor. Your move.”

Jered began to breathe heavily, before raising his right arm. Swinging it downward at Jordan, Jered was stopped by the AdminClawShield, which had flown to Jordan’s side to block the attack. “Nice try.” The AdminPistol manifested in his hand again, allowing Jordan to open fire onto the arm, destroying the armor and causing Jered immense pain. Looking at his counterpart in anger, Jered suddenly disappeared into reappeared in the air, attempting to escape. “Think again. Sōsagan!” Activating his power again, Jordan then pressed onto his USB, causing it to announce *ADMIN CONTROL PANEL.* Suddenly, time stood still around Jordan just as he manifested his own large pair of beetle wings. Flying at Jered, Jordan summoned the AdminGigaDrill once again and broke the armor on his right leg before landing on the ground again. Hitting the USB again, it announce *ADMIN, LOG OUT.* Time started up again, leading Jered to fall back down to the ground as Jordan walked away from the impact. Turning around, Jordan watched as the Onorenger got back on his feet and roared. “Time to end this.” Snapping his fingers, the weapons he summoned all appeared in front of him. Taking them one by one, he combined them into one large sword. Swinging it around and hitting the blade onto the ground, Jordan held up his ModPass. “BanCalibur. Goodbye, Jered.” Inserting the ModPass into his sword, Jordan swung it around and around before swiping the blade at Jered. *INFRACTION LEVEL 5: ADMIN BAN!* From the blade, a manifestation of ModKing in black, red and gold flew towards him and slashed him once before Jordan leapt from his spot, swinging the blade downward, cutting Jered in half. “Ga….gao?” “Yeah, gao.” Kicking the two halves of Jered away, Jordan ran to his team, picked them all up and ran from the explosion.

“Jordan...you did it...you finally did it!” Tony said, running to the team with Ai in tow. “Yeah, guess I did.” “And with that, the Onorengers are no longer a threat!” “Hehehehe...hehehehe...hahahahahaha!” The group turned to see the laughter coming from the Viral USB, which was floating in the air, cracking. “Think again, Jordan!” The Viral USB exploded as red, blue, green, black and violet lights flew from it and hit the ground, turning into silhouettes that the team knew all too well. “I...Impossible!” “What? Did you really think we would stay down?” “Hey Matt! Looks like we get to play again!” “...Weak…” “I look forward to our rematch, Violet!” “Now you’re probably wondering how my team and I have returned from the dead. Well, the answer is simple. I planned EVERYTHING from the beginning. While your little NewsieKnight and PhotoBomber were out finding the necessary ingredients for your USBs, I had each member of my team follow them. After creating the Viral USB using my team’s data, I was able to create a tool that would resurrect us if the last of us had fallen. And guess what? You helped that out! And not only that, the Viral USB was catered to allow us to overcome the weaknesses that your USB powers had given us! So now we’re back on an even playing field. So see you next time, Jordan.
