Just curious, but if you don't have any nostalgia for the series, then what brought about your interest in the show? I don't think Power Rangers has ever been known for having "good storytelling and a well made show". Of course, it has it's moments, but as a whole PR has pretty much always been a series made up of 30 minute toy commercials.
