Gaim = Tokugawa Ieyasu/Date Masamune
- A crescent moon helmet (Masamune) and will be the eventual hero to unify the warring groups (Ieyasu)
Baron = Oda Nobunga
- A great warlord known for his ruthlessness in battle and for destroying many powerful opponents. Would pave the path for his successor to take his place and eventually conquer all the land.
Ryugen = ???
- Still researching who, during the Sengoku period, spent time in China/Korea, as Ryugen is heavily, HEAVILY influenced by Chinese. There was a period in the late BC era of China that the Sengoku period is named after. Will research more later.
Zangetsu = Miyamoto Musashi
- The greatest swordsman of his time. (NOTE: Shields weren't used hardly at all in feudal Japan, thus the shield that Zangetsu carries may be a red herring for his excellent swordsmanship).
Gridon = Toyotomi Hideyoshi
- A peasant who worked his way through the ranks of Nobunga's army to become the eventual successor and the first to unify Japan during this period.
Kurokage = ???
Bravo = ???
Still working on this. More later.
NOTE: In the first episode, we see Gridon along with Baron's army. There is no Kurokage or Bravo. We also see Baron is in the west, and Gaim is in the east. Oda's forces were to the west of both Tokugawa and Date Masamune's forces. It should be noted, Tokugawa formed an alliance with Oda Nobunga and together they conquered their larger foes, like Hojo, Takeda, etc.
