honestly that never really bothered me, we know Takeru's father is dead(and most likely his mother is too) so there is no reason he can't be adopted, especially since I know people who were officially adopted as adults. And while their is certainly importance placed in the Shiba clan on training the next generation of the vassal families to become Shinkengers themselves the adoption didn't contradict the values of the show. It's gone out of it's way already to show that not only is Genta valued as an equal member of the shinkengers by the group despite being just a 'sushi seller' but the emphasis was always on being the Head of the Shiba clan, not the blood of the family. Besides if you take the vs movie with Goseiger as cannon the secret seal can be learned by non members of the Shiba line, it's just a secret normally held by the head.


Though I'm also Biased because not only is Shinkenger my first series, but despite being knocked out of my favorite spot by Go-Busters it still has my favorite cast of all time, and still my all time favorite Red(which is why I was so angered by the change, they took away the main reason Takeru was a deep interesting character from Jayden was already such a boring character, not helped by the fact that for the most part his actor had one expression, scowling) , Blue, Green and Sixth ranger. While on the other hand I hated Samurai...I wanted to give it a try since I remembered liking power rangers as a kid but the acting was horrible, and they just mangled the plot of the original. If it was it's own story I probably wouldn't of minded...and while some changes like Dreker were interesting I still preferred Juzo.

EDIT forgot to mention that Adult adoption is centuries old practice in Japan that is normally used to bring new heirs into a family. Completely legal and socially accepted even in current days. So yeah, since I spend most of my time watching Japanese tv shows and period dramas so it didn't really bug me or surprise me, especially since Shinkenger is pretty much a modern historical drama.
