That's a big bullshit draw many people who try to lure people into toku seem to forget.
A monster might try to extract the blood of a child to power a doomsday device, but they fail, making the actual execution of the plan on the same par as PR.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. I'm generally welcoming to that since it happens often in Sentai, at least I think so.

I don't think I'd honestly want a dark/mature/grown-up Sentai series, it'd be too alien for me and it's most likely lose that playful charm that usually brings me in. I thought Gekiranger did a great job of balancing a fun charming show with maturity and serious tone mixed.
