In 2012 I took a trip to Chicago for the Blood Bowl event The Chaos Cup. I was in the Holiday Inn Paletine, lounging in my hotel room when for maybe the twelfth time that day this infomercial came on the TV (seriously, American TV is so much more *bam zow*, buy buy buy, it's kinda painful).

It was the first season DVD with a red ranger figure, of course I'm not a USA native and couldn't order it to my hotel so I decided to waddle down the strip and look in the local Walmart for Power Rangers merch, hoping they had the same DVD. Found some snacks, a weird CG anime DVD, the first season of Dan VS (which I had never seen, I just picked it up out of curiosity) and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season one, volume one. It wasn't the complete season but beggars can't be choosers, went through the self scan checkout and headed back to my hotel room across the obnoxious Chicago roads. Got back to my room, checked my receipt and the Power Rangers DVD hadn't scanned, I hadn't been charged for it, I could have walked back and paid for it, I had all night and about three days left in Chicago but I counted it as a cheeky win for the little gal and didn't. This, ladies and gents, is the dull story of how I accidentally became a Mighty Morphin thief.
It's not something I take pride in, just a thing that happened.
