Locke, Leo is far from a mediocre actor. Ten years ago I would have agreed. But after the likes of The Depart, Django Unchained (his best role thus far), Inception, Body of Lies, I can NOT agree with you at all. The man has proven himself. He was the only thing worth watching out of The (not so) Great Gatsby. Wolf though, is a good movie, but there is no reason for it to be 3 hours long as there was no pay off at the end.
We are going to see Frozen again tomorrow, but I'm pretty damned pissed the 3D version is no longer running, as that was the whole point we were going to see it again. If it weren't for making plans to see it with four of our friends who have not seen it yet, we wouldn't bother.
Anyway,
The Godfather - After years of seeing all of the parodies, homages, copy cats, I finally see where it all began and to be quite honest, I'm not sure what to think. The movie itself was extremely well done. I loved the characters, the story, the cinematography, and the acting. My favorite scene is by far the baptism execution scene. However, as much as I enjoyed it, I'm not sure I would consider it to be one of the greatest movies ever made. It is close, but just not there. That does not mean it was bad, but I was not blown away as the movie seems to have done to others. Nevertheless, Al Pacino was down right awesome in this movie (although, I did not even recognize him at first) and I give the movie a great 9/10.
