They don't do thar to showcase the item at all. It's either just a transformation sequence or action sequence. The only times an item is showcased is when it's introduced. Then it just becomes a tool. They use devices to transform, they use weapons to finish enemies, they put the spoils of their battle into a jar that effects what their fighting for.

It's not focusing on them just because there are toys to sell. They all have a purpose in the show's fiction. It's similar to toku, but also different in that in HeartCatch's case it's not introducing like one-off items because there are toys to sell to the kids.
