You might look at it as crawling, but I look at it as true acting by the way the actress moved her body in ways you would not expect it to. That to me is far creepier and iconic than a girl that comes out of a TV and walks like a zombie.

What you consider mediocre,good,creepy or iconic doesn't matter to the Japanese.
