From these opening four episodes, it is less so the sheer focus on Daigo and more so the lack of focus on anything else.

Like an RPG, we see Daigo gather his team as one by one they reveal their civilian forms but minus the scene where Daigo and Ami speak to Souji's Dad, Daigo has exclusively talked the team round which only further draws attention to the lack of anyone helping him, as the team grows.

What is everyone else doing, while he's forming the team? Facetious perhaps but with the way Daigo makes every character moment about him, I honestly don't feel I know the characters well enough to know why he is doing everything on his own.
