Don't get me wrong it was a brilliant film, just it was just downright bizarre. Its quite interesting to see Kouga's story evolve from this macabre horror into just plain fantasy.

The backdrops and design were beautiful. Without a doubt the best looking toku film I've seen and certainly up there for films in general.

Yeah that was a funky movie LOL! But really, the whole reason for Kouga to go on this quest was to soul search!? I do hope there is more reason behind Gajari somewhat pointless quest.

A lot of the visual were inspired from Soukoku No Mayruu. But none of his works are ever related. Zeiram and Garo are the only works with sequels/spin offs. Also Yukijirou Hotaru (Gonza in Garo) was in the series as Haku. He usually has a roll in EVERYTHING Amemiya does.

I don't think the original series ever went to Bluray, but TVN re-did their subs with the DVDs a while ago.
