HLJ has not fufilled my preorder no less then five times. Some Transformer MPs and some Sentai stuff. I gave up on them and now never pre-order from them or always have a back-up. YIKES. I primarily use them for Transformers, so I suppose I've had less opportunites to be hurt by their stock issues.

For what it's worth, I've consistently had all my recent Transformer preorders from them fulfilled. I went with them for MP-17, 18, 19 & 12G along with Go! Exprime and Go Prime and Generations Rhinox and I think Orion/Megs, with no issues. I suppose I've been fortunate. If it's relevant at all, I've consistently preordered each of those the day they went up on HLJ, though that may not have guaranteed others in similar situations, for all I know.
