He does have some moments to fight in the finale at least, even though he does get by far less spotlight than his granddaughter. But they haven't forgotten he still could transform. Actually, even though they are not together on screen, there is a scene with both him an Yayoi being Violet. Though I do wish they would've had their own episode together, be it just a "Let's teach you how to be a Ranger"-episode.
