Hmm I'll agree on the less action part, and this episode was more talky than the previous two. I liked it best because I just really enjoyed the scenes with Right and Kagura, it hit all the right vibes for me.

But even if there was less character focus (which I disagree due to the Right and Kagura thing) and less action (which I agree), would that really constitute "dropping the ball pretty hard"? From your description it would seem merely average.
