It definitely has a similar feel to ZyuRanger, but at the same time, makes it its own thing so that it does not just copy the series. The same goes for KakuRanger. All three series are like a stand alone trilogy in the Sentai universe as they try something completely new and take a risk. Toei did not play it safe with these series, and I think that is some of their strongest points.
