I definitely remember seeing it as a kid. I remember the remixed intro very clearly. But all the content of the episodes... well, I vaguely remembered how it went but that's about it.

I'm honestly starting to believe that that group of episodes was a way for the exec. producers to gain leverage over the cast. OR the other way around, eg.

Cast: "We aren't working anymore if you don't respect us."
Saban: "Alright then, have a few weeks break and I'll get some kids in to do your jobs for you."

It's baffling. I guess it's one of those behind the scenes stories in the fandom that'll never really come to light (like who they REALLY wanted to reveal the Phantom Ranger to be).
