What you want to see is the fan film Gamera 4: Truth. Screened only in Japan, with special permission from Kadokawa/Daiei. In keeping with the agreement with Kadokawa, it was never released for download. The movie is supposed to be excellent for a fan film. It's utterly impossible for English speaking fans to obtain - or was last time I tried - but perhaps on some anniversary Kadokawa/Daiei will release it as a DVD extra, and then whoever owns the US distribution rights will follow suit.
I believe the fan creator of the film went on to work on work on Reigo: Deep Sea Monster vs Battleship Yamato, which didn't get great reviews even among the kaiju fans who saw it, but certainly had a lot of potential. There was a sequel of sorts being made, Raiga.
