I bet you your credit or debit card has an RFID chip in it. I know all Chase cards have one.

If you have a symbol on the back of the card that looks like a sideways version of the iPhone wifi indicator, you can just tap your card on a card reader with the same symbol and voila. Tap to pay.

Even more similar to the ToQgers' touch pass are the iPhone apps for Starbucks and Chipotle. They scan your app at the store and deduct from your account.

Japan seems like the kind of place that would have implemented this technology into their cell phones back in 1998.
