Yeah I know, it was just me using an example of how Space Dandy isn't the only show to do things without consequence.

You could be right, it could be because there is this expectation when it comes to Watanabe. However, he had more character development in his single 11 minute Animatrix episode than Space Dandy has had in 6 episodes.

Maybe, but I read that Watanabe said Space Dandy was essentially going to be the Mushroom episode of Bebop turned into a full length series. So I don't think character development is what they're gonna be going for

It's easy comedy at the end of it. I freely admit the character types are shallow and the comedy misses just as much as it hits, but I don't think the episodic nature of the show is what hampers it.

Did you watch at episode 5? If not I at least recommend trying that just see what the series is capable of.

Whether you watch a show or not is your choice, but you couldn't be any more wrong about Kill la Kill there.

That's fair enough. The animation style does give a different impression since similar shows use much simpler ones but that's the best comparison I could think of.
