Faiz Episode 24
No Yuji it's Agito. Pfft bitch you know nothing.
SPIRIT BOMB!
So Kusaka was going to join Lucky Clover to destroy Smart Brain, which would take out his rival? Does he mean Takumi? I don't quite get how destroying Smart Brain would eliminate Takumi. If it's a case of destroying the company to take away the Faiz Gear powers, wouldn't this also cause the Kaixa Gear powers to go away? Even if you take away the powers, Takumi would still be there unless your idea is to take away his powers, and then kill him man to man. Oiii...I do not understand your plan Kusaka.
Smart Brain lady, you continue to creep me out.
I now want to see two things after this scene with Naoya.
1. Naoya propose to Mari in his usual hilarious fashion
2. For Naoya's actor to play the Joker and act like Naoya while doing so
Well Keitaro you see, Kusaka confessed his feelings to Mari and Mari rejected him causing Kusaka to become depressed. Along with this Kusaka has been approached by the enemy team and is being recruited (or trying to be recruited). As for Takumi, he's stuck in the middle of all of this while continuing to be his usual Takumi self. So Keitaro this is why it seems bleak as far as the atmosphere goes.
That Orphenoch has a belt!
Oh God
That was freaking priceless.
That was actually a pretty nice scene between Naoya and the kid. Naoya seems like the type whose in the middle of this whole Orphenoch thing about giving into the powers, but also staying human. I could actually see him breaking off and leading his own party of Orphenochs.
And thus Faiz has turned into the wacky (mis)adventures of Naoya and kid.
The kid's Orphenoch design is kinda lame in my opinion. I think it's most with the flaps on the head portion. They look bad to my eye and are kinda distracting from the rest of the suit.
Because this is Thriller! Thriller night!
That was quite the nice little fight. I think Naoya and kid trying to get the belts the whole time made it a bit more interesting, as it wasn't your usual straight up brawl that we tend to get in fights. So very nice fight.
...Okay can I please oh please get a show just about Naoya and this kid doing wacky shit? Though I am curious, where did they get a police car, bike, and uniforms at? Not to mention, how did they set up the road block?
You two are royally fucked.
Well 24 was pretty darn nice if you ask me. The action in the episode was very lovely all around. Probably one of the few times in the show when I actually think every action scene was great and have nothing bad to say about them.
As far as story goes, this one had a bit more of a clear cut one, with the episode revolving around Lucky Clover and their attempts to get a new member and get back the Faiz and Kaixa gears. There was also the story about the new Orphenoch and his coming to understand what he is and all of that jazz, which mixed in well with Naoya's own little personal story about him and Mari. The episode moved forward the main story of the show at least somewhat, and the in episode story was very good. So personally, I think 24 did a good job with it's story aspect.
Character development seems to be missing though. I'd say Naoya got some, but considering he switches back and forth between feelings every other episode, it's really hard to tell when he;s getting actual development and not just flip flopping his opinions. So I'd have to say that there isn't really any development here.
It's a shame too. The show in my opinion nailed 2/3rds of what usually goes into a Kamen Rider episode, and it makes it one of the better ones. Not only did it get two main aspects right, it was entertaining as most Faiz episodes ares. If it had character development, and was done nicely, then this would probably be a perfect episode on technical/critical terms as well as on tone and purely entertainment terms.
So Faiz episode 24 is in my honest opinion a near perfect episode.
