This was an excellent excellent episode. The plot was a bit recycled. You know good guy whose also the antagonist being controlled and all that. But it didn't stop the fight from being pure joy. They literally knocked the socks (and paint) completely off of Exia

Now I have this feeling that my original assessment of the show could hold true. The preview for next week would imply that the large asteroid that's appeared (which clearly looks like Abaoa Qu) is Reiji's home of Arian. But it also appears that the machines may be more "real" in the final episode too. The explosion of pure untamed Plavsky Particles likely explains it. Temporarily it'll grant life to all the machines as though they were actually real.
