Ho'shit we got a LOT of new info this episode. Joe especially became ten times more badass, is that a scouter? I'm guessing Doc is gonna turn out to have some huge twist that makes him like the most important thing in the universe or something, considering this show seems to really go out of its way to make him stand out from the rest of the crew, and usually in a heavy handed negative way.

The action has returned to form this episode, it's funny that some of the best fights don't involve them turning into past Rangers at all. It's also funny that some episodes can do some teams so much more justice than others. Like for example, this episode featured yet another Gaoranger change - it's funny this show is so obsessed with a show this fandom doesn't seem to care for at all - and this one was stylish, cool and a great advert for the team. Then you literally watch how they were used last episode and it may as well be an entirely different, and extremely crappier, set of powers all together.

Same with the Denjiman tribute, that Electro Punch team attack was AWESOME. I wanna run out and watch that show immediately. Then you see how the Sun Vulcan change was handled last episode, and just how immensely boring that was - the flashiest thing was a green screened background, seriously - like I dunno, maybe the gimmick exposes the changes behind the scenes more dramatically than you may notice when they're using the same powers every episode. Although even with this shows great production, they couldn't make Goggle V look exciting. Those suits are so cheap and ugly, and what they fight with ribbons? Oh God I feel the chills from that....

Sadly as the action got better...the villains got worse again. Were the Sneak Brothers added to the Empire because they're so unfunny it's criminal? It isn't like this show can't do humour, but when they try to make humour focused episodes man does it misfire. At least it wasn't as throwaway as that Luka comedy episode, which is only worth watching if you have a thing for her actress, like the camera man must do.
