I'm just amazed it wasn't the fandom that initially ruined this, but a former member of the cast. I know JDF has been cool to hate for a while, but I honestly don't think he really deserved the hate he got. No one deserves to be hated on because it's the cool thing to do at the given time.

But the way he reacted to such a meaningless contest that was supposed to be just for fun felt like he was playing right into the haters hands. It was like the haters cartoon version of JDF came to life. And it's just sad that a contest that effects none of us, has now found a way to effect all of us.
