Yeah, they really are. Plus, the ending is completely different from the ending to the series.

I really like Zeta's series as a whole and I definitely recommend watching ZZ after the series. ZZ starts out really whacky and light hearted because of how Zeta ended, but then around episode 20, the show goes for the more serious route and just gets down right amazing once Haman Karn takes center stage. The only weird thing about ZZ is no Char.

I know, but that doesn't excuse how crappy the first season was as a whole. Right now that means half of the series was meh.
