Bring Me to Life

Miyumi sighed quietly. Straddling Machine Inochi, while adjusting the black fingerless glove over her right hand. Which matched the left. Bonnie Tyler singing about needing a hero in the white earbuds placed in her ears, and the sound of a V-Twin beneath her. Ready as she was ever going to be. “Remember, Miyu, you don’t need to over exert yourself. Just hold him off. Keep him busy until Hikari is back and running again. Forty Minutes.”
Salute towards the camera, kick of her booted foot against the stand, rev of the engine from her gloves, and the squeal of the tire before the Machine launched from Bay 02. Machine Inochi roared through the streets. Swerving left, right, through traffic with an expert hand. Course it would. She’s been practicing for a long time now for this moment. Time to make it Wonder. The Machine was a mirror of Hikari’s, except for the blue stripe running down both sides ending in a stylized decal of angel wings.
Skullger! Pulling the bike up amid the destruction she laid her booted feet on the ground, and folded her arms against her chest. The biker short, tank top, wearing girl may not’ve looked like much. Thankfully she inherited some of her sister’s stubbornness. “Tfft. Hey Bonehead!” The creature grumbled, turning himself to face this new challenger.. And laughed. “They send Girl now…? Humans become desperate quickly. I enjoy eating Girl, bones crunchier.”
“Tfft. You must think I’m a real pushover, Hey?” Reaching behind her she gripped The Inochi Driver, and slapped it down around her waist. A large Purple Henshin Device, with wings coming off the generator in the middle. And in her free hand her Henshin Card. “Time to make it Wonder!” Her right thumb flipped the scanner open, as the belt rang out /SCAN CHARGE!/ "Henshin!"
Swiping the card she kicked herself off her bike, flying skyward as her body exploded in brilliant purple and white swirling light. Blinding the beast before she landed. Feet and legs together, back arched, and arms outstretched with large luminescent angelic wings behind her. The skin of the uniform was black. With molded purple armor over making chest, waist, cod, thigh, bicep, wrist, and ankle pieces. With a helmet like Hikari, only with blue compound eyes. And with an explosion behind her: /KAMEN RIDER INOCHI! LIFE GIVEN!/
And she was already charging. Wings outspread she pressed her booted foot onto the hood of a destroyed Oorochi (Points for knowing the car without needing Google), and launched herself skyward. Already scanning the next card across the Driver. /INOCHI ROD!/ Her fists clasped, and like Voltron, they pulled away revealing a large staff. Tall as she was and topped with an angelic wing shaped double axe.
With both hands grasped on the weapon she swung down at the creature, slashing him across the chest. A quick spin and another slash, another and another. Followed by her wings spreading and both feet kicking his chest to send her flying backward. Only to skid to a halt before her Machine. “Hey. Bonehead. Still think I’m a pushover?”
Skullger was already preparing launching his deadly Black Crush attack and launching it down the road, aimed straight at her chest. Unlike Taro she didn’t wait for it to strike. She kicked off the ground and flipped over the attack in time to greet the charging Skullger. Both hands on her weapon, trying to push him back and stop his advance. “Anyone -grunt- ever say you need a breath mint…”
She swore she saw the beast grin. “Girl funny. Girl make joke when dead?” Letting go of her weapon, she slipped onto her back. Sending the unprepared Skullger charging head first into the grill of an abandoned Semi while her weapon disappeared into light. “Joke when your dead.” Kicking herself upright, her thumb opened the Scanner again. “Let’s see what you think of this, Bonehead!”
Taking the Bow card from her Stacker Brace she swiped it down across her belt, and held out her right hand. Fingers splayed open. /INOCHI CASTER!/ From the light materialized a bow. Once again shaped like a pair of wings arched back to make the shape needed. And her hand aimed the weapon towards the creature. While her left hand drew the string back creating an arrow of purple light. “Inochi Break!” Running towards the beast she fired, drew back and fired, drew back and fired. Sending arrow after arrow heading towards the flailing creature.
Until: “Grhk!” The creature had been feinting, his hand now wrapped tight around her slender neck and squeezing the life from her. “Girl make no more annoying words.. Girl break, Girl die, then find other Rider. And Rise aga…” His speech cut off by someone throwing a large rock against the back of his skull.. Slowly the beast turned and saw.. Taro. Bandaged, but already scanning his card across the Scan Brace. “Henshin.” /KAMEN RIDER HIKARI!/
