Why would Riders change into arms that aren't thier or own upgrades (at least in show)?

They aren't going to use the Rider Arms in the special, those are just promotional images for the Ganbarizing card game.

And apparently, the reason why is cause their own Lock Seeds get rusted, something makes them use someone else's Seed, Kouta gets Fresh Orange and then everybody is against him. Then again, most Hyper Battle Videos aren't canon, so they have free reign on what to do in there.
