The best part of Build Fighters is that it shouldn't be as good as it is. It seems almost like an obvious concept, but it's so simple it's kinda brilliant. 'Why not literally make the show a toy ad, but put in just as much effort into it as any other show'? The idea that it has battles to rival the best of them, with stunning animation and a wonderful soundtrack but is actually about kids building plastic models - and the quality of the build is actually a story factor - it's just really really fucking clever in my books.

Is that supposed to be an insult to the other Gundam series or not? Because I can't tell. But yeah, Build Fighters sounds like a really fun spin-off. I hope this show gets a lot more people into Gundam because that fanbase is shrinking every year Bandai entertainment America isn't around.
