Decade 17. Wow Ixa sure is on the nose, huh?
Overall this was another arc that really suffered for being so damn short, way too much was happening for a two episode arc, telegraphed with twists you could see for about ten miles away. As a result I didn't care for any of it by the end.
The worst part is though, I don't understand the message of this arc at all. When your Little Sister is replaced by a monster who usually mindlessly simply kill and destroy...that is okay? Not only is that stupid, it makes even less sense in the context of the arc.
Which is a shame, as lots of the individual parts are great. Tsukasa has really shined in the last couple of arcs, and as much as he's very shounen protagonist he is so badass that it almost feels okay. Kabuto is basically a sports car in Rider form, complete with a beautiful red finish. And The Bee has that ridiculous eyepatch, boxing style fighting in Rider form and some GLORIOUS scenery chewing.
Kabuto world was overly sentimental in the worst possible way, rushed to the point of incoherent and completely unengaging emotionally. Like a lot of worlds, it has heaps of wasted potential but unlike most worlds it wasn't ever really about anything. Overall Kabuto's arc was one of the worst, not quite Faiz bad, but it's pretty hard to pick what worse worse between this and Agito. I guess this had some great fights, and Tsukasa moments, Agito didn't even have that...
Since we're about to go to the final world, here are the worlds for me in order from worst to best.
Faiz.
Agito.
Kabuto.
Blade.
Kuuga.
Den-O.
Kiva.
Ryuki.
