Jinba is inferior than the Genesis driver, it was a prototype after all. the Genesis driver is supposed to be the best driver currently available. If you remember, Ryouma also remarked how Kouta was able to draw more potential from Jinba, so I can't see how either of them are pointless.
The lockseed/driver isn't the only part of the equation, skills and tactics also come into play, and that explains how Sid with superior tech could be beaten by Jinba.
