A better question would be "What's an animated henshin hero show?" or "What's an animated daikaiju show?" or the like. Henshin hero, daikaiju, etc. are genres, not mediums.

And honestly, outside of anime otaku, pretty much all "norms" consider anime to be a genre and not a medium. My roommate in my last year in college was an otaku, and that used to drive him and his fellow anime fans insane. That doesn't make it accurate, just wide spread.
Except you guys all ignored the first post where I said I'm ignoring that rule about Toku, and making an appreciation thread for animated shows that fit the genre.
