As for the 2012 line, I am glad BoA decided to make a new power morpher. I look forward to picking one up when it comes out. Makes me even more excited for ToyFair next year.

Bastardized may not be the appropriate term but i think nerfed to hell and back is. They took designs that, originally, were functional complex and fun and turned them into complete messes. Daibouken couldnt form the Ultimate in the US because they nerfed nearly that entire line aside from Daivoyager/Battlefleet. Admittedly the Gekiranger/Jungle Fury toys weren't great to begin with so they didn't do much there. But the RPM stuff was ridiculously and cheaply altered losing the entire point of the Engine Soul gimmick. And now the Samurai stuff all loses an extra mode of functionality. Why the hell even use the origami footage in the show if your toy company can't mimic that in their original designs? The Goseiger toys were not great so I feel like BOA would do well to redesign them anyway. But I think it's entirely accurate to say that most of their original designs or dumbed down versions of Sentai robos are pretty bad. When you loose out in quality, paint apps, and complexity what's the point of being original with your designs?
