God not that again, I was speaking CLEARLY about the episodes I had seen, as how would I be talking about a whole series I haven't watched? I didn't know I'd have to state that, I assumed it would be common sense?

But yeah the princesiness OF THE EPISODES I WATCHED turned me off pretty hardcore. I personally don't think girls like in those shows actually exist anywhere on the planet. And sure we don't come here for realism, but I also don't know any girls - and I'm not sure they exist either - who turn to shows for role models whose defining traits are liking dresses, the colour pink and boys. And if that IS all they need to look up to someone then yeesh...

So yeah, the choice to set Petty Cure in the real world, with actual characters, is a "tone" I really appreciated.
