As for Zeta, it was a fitting and natural extension of the story established in the original program. Details such as the integration of Zeonic scientists and engineers into the ranks of the Federation influencing the designs of the newer mobile suits helped to sell that idea to me. That they essentially flipped the roles of the federation and the insurgents was welcomed. The Titans and their constant need for increasing power and control within the Federation forces proved interesting and different enough from Zeon and its function. The characters were enjoyable, most having flaws, effectively demonstrating believable growth within the context of the series.
My original watching was spread over a couple of months, allowing me the opportunity to not experience the density of the series within a short amount of time.
I originally saw the series when Bandai put the complete series boxed set out in the US. It was the most out of left field release ever and I wanted it. I put the first disc in and was hooked from there. I love to marathon shows as it is, but damn Zeta was compelling. It took me about a week to watch the entire series but I absolutely loved it.
On another topic, my Admin bros Kickback and Sentai Tamashii just bought me a Master Grade Perfect Gundam for my birthday (which is today)
