It's not some Hot Toys figure I mean, it's a Mario figure with poseability. Something you don't get often outside of the classic 'five joint' figures of the 80s and early 90s.

Yeah, I kind of see this in the same vein as the D-Arts Pokémon. Heck, when has Mario ever done any super crazy poses? Just look at the Wii Fit Trainer Smash Bros. video, Mario couldn't even do a tree pose. (Well, he could, but I doubt that Nintendo wanted Mario's arms clipping through his head.
