Takatora's had a lot of development, but not nearly enough on screen.

I think if you cut Sid, you would notice some differences, maybe minuscule, but you would still need another character to fill in the gaps.
I agree about Marika, she's so far VERY bland, to the point where it's suspicious and I actually think she's hiding something, If proven wrong, it will be pretty disappointing. We'll see
