Pretty much anything by Brian Bolland. The recolour of this book is even better, but all I could find was this scan with German text, you still get the idea though. This book is less than fifty pages, but thanks to Bolland's expressive and clean art, it's my all time favourite depiction of the Joker. His work on Dredd is fantastic too and I'm hard pressed between him and Alex Ross as my favourite artist ever in comics.
