Bio/Story: An average student bored of school and wanting something exciting to do, Kai Koike joined the Raid Wild team on a whim. After seeing the broadcast of Kouta changing into Kamen Rider Gaim, followed by Kaito transforming into Kamen Rider Baron, however, he became obsessed with obtaining a Sengoku Driver, urging his leader, Kase, to schedule a meeting with Sid to obtain two for them both to use in order for Raid Wild to win in the Invess Games. Unfortunately, due to staying up late to watch footage of the Invess Games, he missed the meeting with Sid, leading to Kase's alliance with Jonouchi.

Feeling betrayed, Kai sought other opportunities to obtain a Sengoku Driver, but was unsuccessful. After Sid killed Kase, however, Kai was able to take back Kase's broken driver. However, due to the complexity of the driver, Kai was unable to repair it and thus sought a meeting with Ryoma Sengoku to try to become his intern and learn about the technology.

Ryoma rejects Kai's request, but seeing Kai's determination and potential, he decides to give Kai a new, untested Sengoku Driver and two lockseeds. After being dismissed, however, Kai felt that there was something Ryoma wasn't telling him. Curious, he sneaks back into the Yggdrasil headquarters and discovers their access crack to the Helheim forest. He stealthily goes into the Helheim forest, but was ambushed by Sid.

Cornered, Kai activates his new Sengoku Driver, and inserts the Goji Berry, but is surprised to see that the driver is not working. Perplexed and just barely dodging another shot from Sid, he notices that the driver comes with a second Drive Bay in place of where the Rider Indicator is usually located. After inserting the Blueberry Lockseed as well and pressing the Cutting Blade knife down, two fruits fly up into the air, and instead of combining like Kouta's use of the Genesis Core attachment, the Goji Berry fruit flies down first and opens up to form an incomplete base armor. Then the Blueberry fruit flies down and opens up with the new armor layer attaching onto the base armor to complete the form. Armed with the large Goji Shield for protection and the Blueberry Spear for combat, Kamen Rider Konomi charges in and quickly subdues Sid.

Continuing into the forest, Kai discovers his ability to change fruit into Lockseeds, and obtains the Cranberry, Strawberry, and Grape Lockseeds. With these in hand, he continues walk deeper into the forest, eventually meeting Rosyuo, who was talking to Sagara about the Forbidden Fruit. Surprised, Rosyuo sends him flying all the way back to Yggdrasil's base. Ever since, Kai continues to seek opportunities to meet Rosyuo and obtain the Forbidden Fruit...
