I loved Rosalina's back story in Galaxy. Its so rare that Mario characters have any effort put into their personalities and tales outside of RPGs (not including Sticker Star).

But then Miyamoto had to screw it up with Baby Rosalina after telling everyone that he didn't approve of there being a hidden story in Galaxy, because he has a weird fear of story and personality. Him retiring would be the best thing that could happen to Nintendo. Now Rosalina has been downgraded to "Space Peach".
