Personally I never really got totally into the fall. It's built up well and I do like how he slowly begins to turn bad and accept what he's been told, but I think going completely ape and basically becoming a complete evil ruler over Yuka's death was a bit mehy and not satisfactory. And it gets pretty...weird and almost questionable in the final episode.

This is actually something that Paradise Lost did better then the show in my opinion. Yuji's turn to the dark side is handled much better.
