What's both interesting and odd about their selection of the NSX as the base car is it's no longer in production and is considered a modern classic. Never sold in large numbers, they can be hard to find in good condition (un-modified, not raced, etc) and weren't cheap.

So they picked a car they can't do cross promotional work with (as it's no longer in production), that was more expensive than many other sports cars and can expensive to repair.

So, yea, interesting but in a fun way. Makes me wonder if we won't see a Toyota Supra, Nissan R34 Skyline or Nisan S15 Silvia later in the series.

That would be heaven for me to see modified versions of those cars. In fact, it will be a missed opportunity if the creators don't take full advantage of the custom car culture. Gaim has it's dance crews and Drive should have its car clubs, each with a Rider and a custom vehicle. I think if that happened, even if the story is awful, I'd stick with it. I love cars.
