They probably will have the same masters the REgion 2 DVDs had, which were the same discs GUIS and Nihon used for their fansubs. The picture quality looks fine.

As much as I wonder how they will treat the subs (ala the Project Kikaida team did for Kamen Rider V-3, Android Kikaider & Kikaider 01), I'm also kinda concerned on how much extras are they going to fill them in.

Subbed Interviews, Selected Commentaries on any of the more important episodes, Behind the scenes footage, possible insertion of Zyu2 footage with commentary, a recording to this year's Power Morphicon (what with the announcement of Geki, The TyranoRanger/Kamen Rider J and 2 Toku Veterans of the past and present preparing to join in the roster of guests) and something else on the side.

The Region 2 DVDs didn't really have anything in the way of special features, so I doubt Toei is going to provide extras to Shout. It would be nice though if they were to at least put on that 40 minute Zyu2 video that is currently up on Youtube, but maybe just adding some music from the show over it. Hell, how about doing some footage at Power Morphicon since Geki's actor is going to be there along with the two suit actors?

Yes you can get it online for free, but you aren't supporting anyone by doing that. Buying these DVDs supports Toei and Shout and gives us a chance at getting more series over here if it does well.

After you buy the Region 2 DVDs for $500 then you can complain (of which I am not, I am in full support of these DVDs).

Oh, but you shouldn't be able to get the series for free anymore as both Nihon and GUIS have taken down their subs. And anyone else that is respectable should be removing the downloads as well. The purpose of fansubs is to provide a free service until it is licensed to be released legally, and that is what this is.
