Chapter 2 part 3: Innocence lost and found..

Even getting back to the Nightshade Empire's base was a hassle for the badly injured Cyborg Drake. It certainly didn't help matters than Overshadow was busy extorting money from the general populace via vidscreens and fear mongering. His loud coughs of pain and the spray of sparks from the hole in his chest made by Nightmare Red finally got Overshadow's attention."I take it you've failed you mission, have you not?" he stated without turning around.

Cyborg Drake was once a talented singer songwriter before Overshadow's coming. His voice had the ability to stun lower lifeforms and he was strong even before his cybernetic "upgrade". Overshadow however was far more powerful than anything else in Nox Aeterna. When he came for Drake he gave him a choice, the same as everyone else: serve him loyally or die. Drake was no coward but he had always craved power so following OverShadow was an easy choice for him. He sacrificed his beautiful voice for the sonic powers and armor that are now a part of his being. A flaw in the process that turned him into a cyborg was that he had to give up his vocal cords to make room for the sonic tech. Learning sign language to communicate, he became one of the 30 Generals, Oveshadow's royal guard, second only to Overshadow himself and the five that are now the Nightmarangers.

'They are beginning to unlock the powers than are stored in their suits' he signed to Overshadow.'I fear that someday they will' but Overshadow crushed his hands before he was finished."I was willing to let you get by with the least amount of cybernetics but it seems I was too lendant with you" he snarled."You proved to be nothing more than a petty vandal. You will be repaired but you must not fail me again!" He then let go and brutally kicked CyborgDrake down.

Back on Earth Grant looked over at what happened at the garden. He stood up and walked over to Blaise."I know you didn't do this, but it's going to be hard to prove your innocence without evidence."He turned his head to Greg's direction where he was trying to hack into the computer systems to view the camera data. So far he was having next to little luck with doing so, his brow streaming with sweat."I take it you're having as little luck as I am" Grant comforted him."ACCKKK! These computers are so outdated it's a real bear even getting them to load!" Gregory moaned outloud."Plus I don't know the passwords so it's been a real crapshoot just getting anything done! Alasdair's also been gone all day, even when we needed him! This is HOPELESS! Utterly hopeles!!" He tend slamed his fist down on the keyboard and as luck would have it the camera data was onscreen, clear as day.

"Well that was convenience. We're lucky to have ya around Greggy." Melia clipped in as she gave him a hug. Blaise and Aiko were equally as happy but didn't hug Gregory."Now we can prove my innocence and get Takato off my back." Blaise breathed a sigh of relief."If we can upload this to a memory storage device Takato will surely believe me" Aiko looked up at the nightsky seeing that the light of day was creaking by ever so surely."We haven't much time left Gregory. If it is going to be done it must be done now" she ordered in a firm yet gentle tone.

"I just wonder where that kelpie bastard is right now" Melia groaned."He better be doing SOMETHING to help

Alasdair meanwhile had finally gotten the permits to renovate the brownstone. AC and more room to move around were the big issues right now on his mind. He should have told them that he was getting errands done so they have a decent place to call home, but apart from Blaise he didn't get along with the others. Plus it was nice to have time to himself. A soft ring however brought a abrupt end to that. Thankfully for Alasdiar it was Grant on the other line, using Greg's Cloaking Cell to call him on the matters that were facing Blaise.

"I see. I will be home shortly after I am done." He got up looking rather annoyed at what happened. 'Humans are far too quick to judge things' he thought bitterly to himself. He was just about to get on his motorcycle when the radio played a ominous bit of news:

"Attention!A Monster that seems to be made of metal and plant material is attacking the shopping district. So far the people are unharmed but he will not let anyone though. If there's anyone that can deal with this thing please-"

Alsadair heard enough. The matter of the garden will have to wait. Having the humans' suffering on his hands was something he wanted no part of, even though he hated them for what they can do. Soon he was in his Nightmare Yellow suit and with the words"Devil Cycle" typed on the screen his bike became a high-tech vehicle with kelpie designs on the sides. It was mostly black with some yellow detailing and as far as he was concerned it was the best part about having to do this "Super Sentai" thing the others have their hearts on. With a turn of the Heart Key the Yellow Devil Cycle roared onto the scene of the crime.

'Don't worry about repaying me. I doubt you could ever do so, humans' he thought aloud.
