Eureka Seven episode 1

The LFOs surfing on giant surfboards isn't as weird as I first thought.

Also, I didn't know that getting the main character's home attacked in the first few episodes wasn't a trope exclusive to Gundam.

Looking at it now, the animation doesn't look as weird as I thought it did. But I'm gonna have some Reconguista lapses when I'm watching this so be warned.

Also, I just watched two mecha animes in a row where the charcaters have to use something to be able to control the mecha.

Episode 2

Damn, girls are really powerful if Renton is willing to go with a bunch of wanted dudes in a giant robot after he just activated god mode and a rainbow nuke. Guess that's his horomones though. I will admit she is cute though.

Is the girl a robot? Because when the grandpa said that she'll understand when she'll have kids and she was about to correct him, I don't think being infertile is a plot point in these kinds of shows.

I'm sold on Eureka 7. The mecha designs are cool, I'm interested in what's going on and am willing to get lost in this world.

Episode 3

So she's called Eureka? Huh. Usually shows are named after the mechs not the girl...

And we have a ship! that fight scene was badass though.

Oh no. Nononononononononononnononono. Please don't tell me we have 3 shitty comic relief kids in a mecha anime. I had to deal with that shit for 3 Gundam series, I don't want to do it again.

I also found out Johnny Young Bosch voiced Renton. I swear, this dude is like half of my favorite main characters lol.
