I tend to think that Ren is mostly talk on that front. He'll go after the other Riders, but he always ends up pulling his punches in the end, even against Asakura. The only time he really cuts loose is his first fight against Odin, and that damn near breaks him. When it comes down to it, he's not really a killer and after crossing that line with Odin he isn't willing to cross it again, not even for Eri.
