So I've had the first 18 episode batch from TV Nihon on my hard drive for a while now and just now watched the first two episodes.

Okay, this show's badass levels are definitely on the high end. The mythology seems very unique, creative, and Mignola-esque, which, if you know me, you know I love that (sometimes I wish my life was drawn by Mike Mignola). The charcters have a lot of potential, the suit designs are fantastic, and the visuals, when they're practical, are awe-inspiring. The unarmored actions scenes are also great, with some incredible choreography and wire work. Now, if there's anything that I can complain about so far, it would actually be the armored fight scenes. They're a little too reliant on CG for my tastes, but that may change, so I won't call it now.

But all-in-all, I'm digging this show. If only because of the mythology and how much it really does feel like it was made by a Japanese Mike Mignola. Should I get the Figuart of Garo (my wallet is laughing at me right now), he's definitely being displayed next to my Hellboy figure.
